Camp Nicolet

10 in 10 Campaign

Camp Nicolet’s buildings were built mostly between 1948 and 1952. Our skilled facilities staff works tirelessly to keep them in tip-top shape for our campers, alumni, user-groups, and guests.  Planning for the future, the Starz family has determined the need to renovate cabin interiors and exteriors over the course of the next decade.

The “10-in-10” Campaign is named such because we intend to renovate each of the 10 camper cabins, one per fall season, for each of the next 10 years.  We will begin with cabins in the greatest need of renovation, and end with those in less need.

The Plan

→ complete rewiring and re-plumbing of the cabin

→ complete renovation of the cabin bathroom facilities

→ complete repaneling of all the interior walls

→ installation of a synthetic barrier in all exterior walls to “seal” cabins from the elements

→ residing of the cabin as needed

→ replacement of doors and windows as needed

These renovations will preserve the existing (and historic) camp structures for decades to come, as we strive to keep this “summer home” away from home in the best condition possible.

How Can I Help?

Consider getting together with a group of your cabinmates from years past and agree to partially sponsor the renovation of your favorite cabin.  All renovated cabins will have a plaque permanently installed in them listing the names of donors who made the renovation possible.  Contact the camp office if you wish to fully or partially sponsor a cabin renovation.
