Nicolet’s wilderness program
Northpoint Adventures is Camp Nicolet’s wilderness tripping and outdoor adventure program. Sign up for awesome experiences like rock climbing, whitewater rafting, wilderness backpacking, and canoe & kayaking trips! Unless noted, trip costs are included in tuition. Trips are filled on a first-come, first-served basis; please choose your trip in Additional Options when completing the online Camper Application. Trips 5 days or longer in length are typically available ala carte; separate from participation in a Camp Nicolet session.
A Progression
Each Northpoint Adventures trip builds from the previous, however campers may begin the wilderness trip experience at any age! We recommend the following:
Ages 10+ – Sylvania Wilderness Canoe [Beginner trip – 3 days]
Ages 12+ – Porcupine Mountains Backpacking [Beginner trip – 3 days]
Ages 13+ – Pictured Rocks Backpacking [Intermediate trip – 4 days]
Ages 13+ – Super Porkies Backpacking [Intermediate trip – 4 days]
Ages 13+ – Apostle Islands Sea Kayaking [Intermediate trip – 5 days]
Ages 14+ – Peshtigo River Whitewater Rafting [Day trip]
Ages 14+ – Isle Royale Backpacking [Advanced trip – 7 days]
Ages 15+ – Voyageurs Wilderness Canoe [Advanced trip – 7 days]
Ages 16/17 – Rocky Mountain Backpacking [Expert trip – 8 days]
Devils Lake Rock Climbing [Included as part of the 7-Week, Full Summer program – no age requirement – 3 days]

Charter & Alumni Trips
