Camp Nicolet

Midwest Open House a Great Success

A snowy evening in the Windy City of Chicago did not deter our hardy Camp Nicolet families from attending the annual Midwest Open House held on Saturday evening, February 8th. approximately 100 campers, parents, staff and alumnae traveled from Wisconsin, Indiana, Minnesota, and all parts of Illinois to join us for a fun event. The grand “travel prize” went to Isabelle Pyritz who flew all the way from Berlin, Germany to attend the function.

The festive evening included snacks and visiting in addition to singing camp songs, door prizes, special presentations, and an information session for new and prospective parents. The highlight is always the premiere showing of the past summer’s DVD. “Roar 2013″ was definitely a big hit as many of the campers featured in the video were present. The evening ended with the traditional singing of “Spirit” and “Green Trees” and a farewell until June for the campers and August for the big 70th Anniversary Alumni Reunion.
