Programs are based upon guidelines set forth
by the American Red Cross, The USA Water
Ski Association, the U.S. Tennis Association,
PADI, and US SAILING. An award program, in
the form of emblems, is used in each activity
area to promote progressive learning, goal
setting, and recognition. Each summer brings
new and challenging goals for every camper.
Although the emphasis is on attitude and giving
one's best effort, friendly competition is
available in fun special-day team activities,
a camp horse show and gymkhana, water ski and
tennis tournaments, and several sailing regattas.
Challenge Adventures
 |
For older campers, exciting sea kayaking
trips, white-water rafting, a ropes course
adventure, a Canadian canoe trip, Isle
Royale backpacking, or a SCUBA course
resulting in PADI certification are all
possible.
For all age campers, an excellent women's
self-defense course and many canoe, mountain
biking, hiking, and backpacking opportunities
are available. |
