Wake Boarding

If you haven’t tried wakeboarding yet, imagine yourself learning to rule the water using your own strength and agility. Some have called it a cross between snowboarding, surfing, and skateboarding all rolled into one. If water is your thing, with our great instructors at Camp Nicolet guiding you, chances are there will be some serious fun going on! Try a Google search of wakeboarders like Taylor McCullough (a multi-national championship winner) who hails from Centralia, IL and see just what a girl can do.

Wakeboarding lessons take place at the Camp Nicolet Watersports Complex.

Our Watersports Complex includes three competition-level Ski Nautiques, and a Moomba Mobius wakeboard boat. Also included is a regulation slalom course and a Ski Pavilion for the proper storage and maintenance of equipment. Camp has the latest wakeboarding gear as part of its equipment inventory.

All instructors and boat drivers are certified by USA Water Ski and are certified lifeguards. Safety and professionalism are emphasized at all times.

Learn to grab some big air off the wakes kicked up by the Moomba Mobius wakeboard boat, complete with tower and wake enhancement system. For an added thrill, try wake surfing across the waters of Franklin Lake.

At the end of each summer showcase your skills in the annual Camp Nicolet Water Ski Show, a big event and highlight of the summer.

Additional Lesson Options

Serious wakeboarders can sign up for semi-private lessons in addition to the opportunities you’ll have to wakeboard during your regular water skiing hour with your friends.
