Hi Camp Nicolet Families and Friends!
Jeremy Starz, Director of Operations, here with a preview of some exciting things summer 2020 has in store!
First, we just announced our dates for the coming summer, and you’ll notice things look a little different than you might be used to. When deciding on Sessions for 2020, Georgi and I took a good look at when different schools across the country start and end for the year. Here in the Midwest, Chicago Public Schools end in mid-June (and that’s without making up “snow days”) so we decided we’ll start Nicolet’s Session I on Sunday, June 21st. Out west, our friends in Denver and on the west coast start school as early as the first week in August, so we created a three-week session which concludes on August 1st. We still want to offer Midwest and International families, who start school after Labor Day, the option to come to camp during one of the nicest (weather-wise) portions of the summer, so we recreated a two-week session – running from August 2nd through August 14th – at the end of the summer. We hope that you’ll find this new menu of Sessions – which include 2, 3, 5, 6, and 8 week options – exciting and workable with your schedule in 2020!
