Special Weekend Activities

Special weekend activities include Counselor Hunt, The Nicolet EcoChallenge, Water Day, Carnival Day, Marathon Day (a Green & Yellow Nicolet Tradition), and – when they’re happening in the rest of the world – the Nicolet Olympics once every four summers!  Campers involved in the Leadership Program have opportunities to be special activity team captains, and can help with other organizational & planning aspects.

Sunday Schedule

Sundays are special days at camp!  We take a break from the regular Monday through Friday activity schedule, beginning with a “sleep in” (wake up at 8:30am instead of 7:30am) on Sunday mornings.  A larger midday meal follows a continental breakfast, and the day ends with a BBQ cookout dinner!  Most every Sunday includes one of the themed special weekend activities mentioned above, which takes place in the afternoon.  There’s no better way to begin a new week at camp!

4th of July

Fourth of July is an exciting celebration of our national holiday. Skits, field games, a BBQ supper, barn dance, and evening fireworks round out this special time. Special activities are an awesome time at camp. It’s really fun to dress up in costume, be creative, give it your all, and have fun with your friends.

“Thank you, thank you! My daughter had the most amazing time at Camp Nicolet this summer. She came off the bus with a big smile on her face and many memories to share with us as we drove her home. Her counselors were terrific and the nurse is great! She is more confident than ever before. She made friends that will last her a life time. She wants to go back to Nicolet next summer for 8 weeks!”
