People choose to work at camp for many reasons. Many Camp Nicolet Staff members are past campers. Others are college students majoring in Elementary Education, Parks Recreation & Tourism, Child Psychology, Athletic Training, Pediatric Nursing, and other camp-related fields. Whether looking to gain perspective and experience in your field of study, or looking to simply (and most importantly) make a positive impact in the lives of today’s youth, working at camp is both a challenging and rewarding experience.
Working at camp involves long days and high energy output. At the end of the summer, however, it’s rewarding to look back and understand the positive contributions you’ve made to the team, how you’ve grown as a leader, and how you’ve enriched the experiences of the campers. Be creative, have a good sense of humor, be mature & responsible, and work hard – these are keys to success when part of the Camp Nicolet Staff Team!
